Last Thursday was a difficult day to be in London as there was the worst tube strike for 13 years and guess what day I chose to launch Rosina’s Lotions and Potions at a huge celebratory party at the Playboy Club in Park Lane? We had all worked so hard to make the event a great success but it looked as though few people would be able to attend because of the strike. Well, my lovely Rosina was looking out for me – as she always does – because everyone made it and what a party!
The Playboy Club was decorated with fantastic photos of Rosina and there were Rosina’s boxes overflowing with beautiful flowers and the scent of roses filled the air as the Rosina’s candles perfumed the room. All the people I love were there to help me to remember my wonderful grandmother and give me the opportunity of showing them all the amazing products I have produced using Rosina’s unique recipes. The beautiful Bunnies greeted each guest with a delicious glass of English Sparkling Wine setting the theme, as everything we were eating and drinking was as English as the products themselves. The ‘Tootsie Rollers’ charmed us with their amazing versions of songs from the 1950s. Dressed in the style of the time with red sequinned dresses and authentic 1950s hair-dos they set the scene for an evening of incredible entertainment. The alluring Chrys Columbine and her fantastic fan dance provided the burlesque interlude that you expect to enjoy at the Playboy Club. Rosina would have been delighted with Chrys’s performance, she looked as glamorous as Rosina did in her day. The photos of Rosina at her peak were all around the room reminding us all of the special lady we were there to celebrate. Rosina loved a party and this was a party she would have adored. Mark and his team at the Playboy Club made sure that all the guests were well fed and watered with their usual combination of special cocktails and delicious food, the rose macaroons were my favourite!
With a perfect ending to a perfect night everyone left the party with wonderful memories of a night to remember and – best of all – a beautiful Rosina’s bag containing a special gift for each of my special guests. I can’t wait for the next occasion to celebrate the life of the lovely Rosina and the skincare that she has bestowed on me.
P.S. I also want to say a huge thanks to all the lovely people who were there to support me as I celebrated Rosina’s launch last week. You all helped to make it such a special occasion and I can’t quite believe how much wonderful feedback I have had about that lovely evening. Thank you all!
